Bill and Sherry Coffey, along with Bill’s parents, opened Buckland Farm Market 27 years ago in a small, shack-like building on the Prince William/Fauquier County line.  In 2007, after the passing of their landlord, that property was sold.  Buckland Farm Market had to relocate.  Loyal friends (and customers), Bryant and Bet Smith offered Buckland Farm Market a new home up on the hill of Avalon Farm.
After several years of planning and construction,  Buckland Farm Market was again open to the community in September, 2009.

The market now operates on a 150+ acre working cattle farm with bountiful opportunites and resources at their disposal, including rich, untouched fields for growing their own fresh fruits and vegetables.
In the produce business for over 40 years, Bill has a feel for how the industry works, and continues to deal with the people who have supplied fresh goods for his markets for many years. Of course, he is always looking for new products to please his customers and keep them happy and healthy for years to come.

The market is operated by Bill, his wife, Sherry Lynn, his son, Brandon, his sisters, and several close family friends.  Buckland Farm Market has always been family-owned and operated with sons Bruce, Kenny and daughter Laura having spent many years at the market.

The new Buckland Farm Market has the perfect hill for kite flying on those blustery spring days.  In the summer, it is the perfect place to get juicy melons and fresh corn, steaks, marinades and other cookout necessities, including our signature vine-ripened tomatoes.  In the fall, celebrate the season with our fall festival.  We welcome you to come enjoy our Fall Festival, including hayrides, farm animals, pumpkins, apples, cider and more.   Come sit on the porch and enjoy the view.  You can even watch the cows come home.
Be sure to stock up for the holidays at Sherry Lynn’s Pie shop and get brownie points with family & friends by taking them a treat when you go to visit.  Don’ forget to get your Christmas tree & to stock up on jams, jellies, and pickled goodies before we take time out to regroup and hibernate for a few weeks in the winter.

Buckland Farm Market is a down-home, family-owned and operated country market with something to offer you and your loved ones throughout all four seasons!
